Well, although science is our backbone for survival today, yet not everything is explainable through science. Science has failed to answer a lot of miraculous events and happenings around the world. The existence of these mysterious temples is one of them!

LEPAKSHI TEMPLE, ANDHRA PRADESH:

It is located in the Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh. It is famous for its “Hanging Pillar”. Out of all the pillars, there is yet one that does not touch the ground and is still standing! It is really strange and the reason is still not found out. It is something to be really amazed of!

KADU MALLESHWARA TEMPLE, BENGALURU:

It was in 1997 that during some construction near the temple a statue of Nandi (the vehicle of lord Shiva) was found buried. When they further dug the temple, a tiny pool of water was encountered, along with Nandi, ejecting clean water from its mouth, which was dripping on the Shiva Linga. The source of the two is still unknown.

BRIHADEESWARAR TEMPLE, TAMILNADU:

This temple is very well known for its architectural beauty. The entire temple is made of the granite stones, which is itself a mystery as there have been no sources of granite found upto 60kms of the temple. The pinnacle of the temple is known to be made up of a single granite stone weighing almost 80tons. How such a heavy did weighed stone reach the apex, is still a mystery. The source of the granites is also still unknown!

STAMBESHWAR MAHADEV SHRINE:

This temple is believed to disappear when a high tide strikes it, going under the water. It is submerged completely underwater. It is located at the bay of Cambay in the beaches of the Jambusar district. It is visible till the low tide and is vanished with the high tides. The devotees offer their offerings in the morning and usually in the evening gather to watch this ravishing view. It is said that maybe it was in the architecture’s plan! The reason is still unknown.

PADMANABHASWAMY TEMPLE, THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:

Till date there has been no exact date of the origin of this temple but this temple is considered the richest in the world with over $22billion worth gold and jewels buried in the underground vaults. Only 5 out of the 8 vaults have been opened of this temple. Vault B is the most peculiar and remains unexplored due to this reason. The door of it has been engraved with two massive cobras and it is believed that the gate will only open by some mystic chant. If by any means, the gate is tried to open, then it might hail misfortune with it!
