However, travelling to a recognized place doesn’t hold the same required curiosity and fun, which one experiences by wandering into the strange lands.

So here is a list of those amazing roads which are not usually taken!

This is located in the Buldana district of Maharastra. It is conceived to have developed as a result of the crashing of the meteorite into the earth around 50000 years ago. Homing varied species of migratory birds and wildlife like gazelles, chinkara, peafowl and many more, it has become one of the most beautiful tourist’s destinations. The lake coined is highly saline and the place is best suited to be visited in the winters. Although it doesn’t home many Hotels and dwelling locations, yet can be visited easily.

This is an idiosyncratic village, located in the immaculate hills of Meghalaya. The beauty of this village is enhanced by its very location into the flawless range of Meghalaya. Besides honing the title of being the “Asia’s cleanliest village”, it is also known for its “living root bridge”, near the Rewai village. This bridge is an exclusive natural formation and the sky walk, an 85 feet bamboo structure, also offers a calm bliss to the eyes by bird watching and revealing the panned view of  Bangladesh’s plains. Accommodation is however limited but its definitely worth the time!

ZIRO, ARUNACHAL PRADESH

This little comfortable whimsical village is known to be situated in the Subansiri district of Arunachal Pradesh. This mesmerising haven has also been recognized as the World Heritage site for quite a long time, the reason being its enchanting natural beauty, cultural legacy and of course the famous music festival. Despite its small size, this place abodes the highest number of schools in the state. The optimum time to visit the place is from February to October as the weather is mostly pleasant and cool. There are few lodgings and hotels for the tourists.

State government buses usually are seen plying on the road from the state capital, Itanagar to Ziro.

Also known as the “Switzerland of the east”, this breathtaking location is known to hold almost 2 lakh varieties of flowers, which enhances its beauty to multiple folds. The Haflong lake, stationed at the very heart of the hill station is known to be one of the largest water bodies in Assam. The adrenaline rushers can also dive in deep and sail into the hills by enjoying various sports like para gliding, gliding, trekking etc. The only flaw is that the accommodation is very limited.

There are many private as well as government buses which ply from the hill station to various bigger cities of Assam and vice versa.

This alluring place is known to be situated at almost 3636m above the sea level, significantly higher to Darjeeling. It is almost an adventure packed 12-hour trek from Maneybhanjan or one can even hire jeeps and land rovers, to reach the place. Due to the presence of the river Teesta, this place also offers various water sports like river rafting. There is very limited domicile. However, Darjeeling is ladened with such beautiful holiday locations.
