ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 match 09 – New Zealand beat Bangladesh and Won the match by 2 wickets.

New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson won the toss and elected to field against Bangladesh in their ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 tournament.

New Zealand 248 for 8 (Taylor 82, Williamson 40) beat Bangladesh 244 (Shakib 64, Henry 4-47) by 2 wickets in the 9th match of  ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 match at The Oval, London on Wednesday.

Ross Taylor smashed a brilliant 82 run under pressure. While Matt Henry pocketed 4 wickets to help New Zealand pocket their 2nd victory following an edge of the seat 2 wicket win over Bangladesh in Match 9 of the ICC World Cup 2019.

In the run of chasing 245, New Zealand got off to a flier courtesy Martin Guptill (24 off 14). But he along with his opening partner Colin Munro was sent back early by Shakib Al Hasan, appearing in his 200th ODI.

New Zealand Captain Kane Williamson and Taylor stitched together a 105-run partnership.

Also, Matt Henry grabbed 4 wickets as New Zealand bowled Bangladesh out for 244. He picked the last 2 wickets off their innings off the first two balls of the 50th over to finish with a 4-for. Henry finished with figures of 4 – 47 to follow his 3 wickets against Sri Lanka as Bangladesh

On the other hand, Bangladesh struggled to pace their innings and lost their last 5 wickets in less than 7 overs. Mohammad Shaifuddin (23-ball 29) was the only one to provide some big hits in the late overs.

However, it was a convincing victory for; New Zealand won against Bangladesh by 2 wickets and has completely been dominant for the 3rd match in a row. But earlier, Bangladesh defeated South Africa and came off with a stunning 21-run win in their last match of ICC Cricket World Cup 2019.
