India 230 for 4 (Rohit 122, Dhoni 34, Rabada 2-39) beat South Africa 227 for 9 (Morris 42, du Plessis 38, Bumrah 2-35) by 6 wickets in the 8thmatch of ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 at the Rose Bowl, Southampton on Wednesday.
India opened their ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 campaign with a thumping win. While, on the other hand, South Africa suffered their 3rd loss in as many games of the same tournament.
After opting to bat 1st, the Proteas failed to get off to a good start and lost wickets in the regular intervals. Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav then put the brakes on the South Africans who crumbled against the leg-spin of the duo.

As India was moving slowly towards the target, Rabada struck again in the 32nd over to send back KL Rahul at 26 after his 85-run stand for the 3rd wicket with Rohit Sharma. But, MS Dhoni supported Rohit well to pull off a solid victory for India.
