Xiaomi has launched many good budget-friendly phones in the last couple of years. Their latest device to come out is the Redmi Note 7 and Note 7 Pro. Xiaomi has confirmed that it is currently working to develop the Redmi Note 8 which will be more powerful than any other smartphone in its price range.

Redmi General Manager, Lu Weibing said that Redmi Note 8 is more powerful than the previous version. Developments as of yet show that it is going to be a flagship killer. The phone is expected to ditch Qualcomm Snapdragon processors for the newly launched MediaTekHelio G90T. Xiaomi is also working on a gaming phone which will make use of the MediaTekHelio G90T.

A 64 MP camera phone is also coming from Xiaomi. It is speculated that the Redmi Note 8 will have the 64 MP camera but nothing has been confirmed by Xiaomi yet. Xiaomi expected to sell around 5 million Note 7 devices before the launch. They have managed to cross that mark pretty easily. Redmi Note 7 and Note 7 Pro were launched in February this year.

Xiaomi has an event in China on 7th August where they will talk about the 64 MP camera phone. Realme, the sub-brand of Oppo and Samsung are also reportedly working on a smartphone with a 64 MP camera. Oppo has an event on 8th August where they will talk about the 64 MP camera technologies. Also, they might showcase a new phone that might be using the 64 MP camera.

It will be interesting to see what announcement Xiaomi makes related to the Redmi Note 7 pro and 64 MP camera technology in the event in China. Xiaomi has pulled off some crazy stuff in the past as well and it is expected to do the same this time around also.
